Pat Wood is a founder and principal of both Lawler-Wood, LLC, and Wood Properties, Inc. He serves as chairman of both firms. Mr. Wood has had more than thirty years of active involvement in the real estate industry. He is a past chairman of the Tennessee Real Estate Commission and has been awarded the designation of Certified Property Manager by the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Mr. Wood was elected to the Knox County Commission and has served on the City-County Public Building Authority, the Metropolitan Planning Commission, and the University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Associates. He is past president of the Development Corporation of Knox County, a nonprofit corporation responsible for industrial and economic development. Mr. Wood has been chairman of the Democratic Executive Committee, lieutenant governor of Optimist International and a member of the board of directors of several Knoxville banks, the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau, the 1982 World’s Fair and the Metropolitan YMCA. In addition to continued service in some of these capacities, Mr. Wood is a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner and a former member of the Vestry of St. James Episcopal Church.
