Photo 1 | Photo 2 In January 2004, Lawler-Wood was selected through a national solicitation of proposals to privately own, finance, build and operate two mixed-use facilities at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN. The new buildings replace 70 Manhattan-Project-era facilities located throughout the Y-12 campus. Known as the Jack Case Center and the New Hope Center, these state-of-the-art facilities contain office, laboratory, medical, training and conference spaces for more than 1,500 employees. The New Hope Center is LEED-certified and, at the time it was built, was only the ninth facility in Tennessee to earn a LEED designation from the U.S. Green Building Council. Construction began on December 15, 2005, and was completed in June 2007, four months ahead of schedule and within budget. Lawler-Wood continues to serve as the facility manager for the centers. |
